Phase N/A

This study explores how green coffee, which is rich in special nutrients called polyphenols, affects weight and health markers in people who are overweight or obese. Polyphenols are natural compounds found in plants, like coffee, that may have health benefits.

Participants will drink both green coffee and regular roasted coffee over 12 weeks. They will have six visits to the research center for blood tests, blood pressure checks, and body measurements. The study will also look at how the body processes coffee and how it affects gut bacteria. The aim is to find out why some people benefit more from green coffee than others.

Key Points:
  • Participation lasts around 12 weeks with six visits required.
  • Participants cannot smoke or take certain medications.
  • The study seeks to find out why people respond differently to green coffee.

Note: Participants should not be on a weight-loss diet or take certain supplements to join.
