Upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC) is a rare type of cancer that occurs in the tubes that carry urine from the kidneys. This study looks at patients with UTUC who are getting kidney-sparing therapy, which tries to treat the cancer without removing the whole kidney. Usually, doctors remove the kidney in a surgery called nephroureterectomy, but this can harm kidney function. New treatments, like immune checkpoint inhibitors and ADCs (special drugs that target cancer cells), show promise for treating UTUC. This study will observe how well patients do with kidney-sparing surgery, with or without additional treatments.
Participating in this study means you may help future patients while getting a chance to keep your kidney. However, there might be some risks, and it's important to discuss with your doctor if this is right for you.
