Upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC) is a rare type of cancer that affects the urinary system. It is more common in Western countries and China. Most patients have advanced cancer when diagnosed, and their outlook is not good. The typical treatment is a surgery called radical nephroureterectomy, which removes the kidney and ureter. However, this surgery can harm kidney function. An alternative is kidney-sparing surgery, which keeps the kidney but is usually only for patients with less severe cases. New treatments, like immune checkpoint inhibitors and ADCs (antibody-drug conjugates), are available for those with more advanced cancer. This study looks at how well kidney-sparing surgery works for patients with different levels of risk. Participants in the study must be between 18 and 90 years old and cannot have had previous treatments like chemotherapy or surgery for UTUC.
- Study involves follow-up visits.
- Participants must refuse or be suitable for kidney-sparing surgery.
- No previous treatments like chemotherapy or surgery for UTUC.
