Prospective, Single-Arm, Multicenter Study to Evaluate the Effectiveness and Safety of Endovascular Treatment in Patients With Cerebral Aneurysms Using P64 and P48 Flow-Diverter Stents

Study on safety and effectiveness of stents for brain aneurysms.

Phase N/A

This study looks at using special devices called flow-diverting stents to treat cerebral aneurysms, which are bulges in brain blood vessels. These stents, named p64MW HPC and p48MW HPC, help divert blood flow away from the aneurysm to prevent it from bursting. Aneurysms can be dangerous if they rupture, leading to bleeding inside the brain. The study will use these stents with a special coating to reduce the chance of blood clots, known as thromboembolic complications. This is an observational study in several hospitals in Spain and will last for 12 months. Participants must be over 18 and have signed consent.

  • Study lasts for 12 months with follow-up visits.
  • Involves routine clinical practice, no new experimental treatment.
  • Must be over 18 and not pregnant or breastfeeding.

Learn more about clinical trials

What is a clinical trial?

A clinical trial is a study designed to test specific interventions or treatments' effectiveness and safety, paving the way for new, innovative healthcare solutions.

Why should I take part in a clinical trial?

Participating in a clinical trial provides early access to potentially effective treatments and directly contributes to the healthcare advancements that benefit us all.

How long does a clinical trial take place?

The duration of clinical trials varies. Some trials last weeks, some years, depending on the phase and intention of the trial.

Do I get compensated for taking part in clinical trials?

Compensation varies per trial. Some offer payment or reimbursement for time and travel, while others may not.

How safe are clinical trials?

Clinical trials follow strict ethical guidelines and protocols to safeguard participants' health. They are closely monitored and safety reviewed regularly.
