Study Purpose: This study looks at different ways to help people breathe better when they have acute hypoxemic respiratory failure, which is when the lungs can't get enough oxygen into the blood.

Study Details: Participants will try different breathing support settings using a helmet. The support settings will change the pressure to help find the best level for each person. This study will compare Personalized Noninvasive Support with regular methods like Noninvasive Ventilation (NIV) and Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP). Special tests like esophageal manometry (measuring pressure in the esophagus) will be used to see how hard the person is working to breathe.

  • The study involves multiple visits and tests.
  • Participants should not have certain conditions like pregnancy or recent surgery.
  • This research aims to see if personalized support is more effective than the usual methods.
