Phase N/A
**Pre-operative Screening of Functional Fragilities Before Open Aortic Surgery** This study is about making open aortic surgery safer for patients. Aortic surgery is needed when there's a problem in the aorta, the large blood vessel that carries blood from the heart to the rest of the body. Sometimes, endovascular treatment (a less invasive surgery) isn't enough, and doctors need to do open surgery instead. Before surgery, doctors check your heart and lungs to make sure you're ready. This study wants to add another check to see how strong and healthy you are overall. This extra check could help doctors make you stronger before surgery, reducing the chance of problems afterward. - **Length of Study:** Participation involves pre-surgery assessments collected during standard care. - **Eligibility:** You must be having open aortic surgery at the vascular surgery department. - **Participation:** You can choose not to participate if you prefer not to be part of the study. This study aims to create a new risk scale to help make patients stronger and ready for surgery.
