This study is about how massage and foot reflexology affect the sleep of preterm (babies born early) newborns in a hospital's neonatal intensive care unit. Babies born early often face stress and trouble sleeping, which affects their growth and brain development. Massage involves gentle rubbing and pressing on the baby's skin to help them relax. Foot reflexology is a special type of massage that uses pressure on specific points on the feet, believed to improve health by affecting different parts of the body. This study involves 105 preterm newborns. Babies will receive 15-minute sessions of massage or foot reflexology twice a day for 2 days. Researchers will monitor and record their sleep patterns before and after. This helps us understand if these methods improve the babies' sleep and health.
- Study lasts for 2 days with twice-daily sessions.
- No extra interventions for the control group.
- Only babies with stable health and no skin issues are eligible.
