Phase 3

This study tests a new drug, methoxyetomidate hydrochloride, to see if it works as well and is safe as etomidate for putting people to sleep before surgery. In this study, people will get either the new drug or etomidate without knowing which one they receive to keep it fair. Only adults aged 18 to 70, who need surgery and meet specific health criteria, can join. If you have had problems with anesthesia or have certain medical conditions, you might not be able to participate. The study checks your health, like blood pressure and breathing, before you start.

  • The study could last several months, with some hospital visits required.
  • You might experience side effects like any medication, but they monitor you closely.
  • Participation is voluntary, and you'll need to sign a consent form.
