This study investigates the effects of time-restricted eating on women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). PCOS is a condition that affects women and can cause issues with hormones, metabolism, and overall health. The study aims to see how eating within a specific time window each day can impact the gut bacteria and improve health outcomes for women with PCOS.
Participants in the study will be divided into two groups: one following time-restricted eating and the other following a standard healthy diet. They will have regular check-ups to monitor their health, including blood tests and stool samples to check gut bacteria. The study will last for 12 weeks, with visits every four weeks to track progress.
Who can participate: Women aged 18 to 40 who have been diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and have a BMI over 25 can participate. Those taking certain medications, smoking, or with recent significant weight changes are not eligible.
