Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) affects many people, causing serious health problems and sometimes requiring kidney replacement. When kidney tissue is damaged over time, it gets stiff due to something called fibrosis. Normally, doctors check this by taking a small piece of the kidney, called a biopsy, but it's invasive. Instead, this study uses a special scanning technique called Magnetic Resonance Elastography (MRE) to see how stiff the kidneys are without a biopsy. MRE helps us understand how CKD progresses, especially in its early stages.
