Effect of Step Count on Edema After Rhinoplasty

Recruiting
18-40 years

Phase N/A

After a nose surgery called **rhinoplasty**, patients often have swelling and bruising around their eyes. This study wants to find out if walking more can help reduce these issues. **Edema** means swelling caused by fluid, and **ecchymosis** is a fancy word for bruising. The study will include patients aged 18-40 who had rhinoplasty with specific doctors. Participants will wear a step counter, like a fitness watch, to track their steps. They'll be split into groups with different step goals, such as 5,000 or 10,000 steps per day, and some will use ice for swelling. Patients will take daily photos to track swelling and bruising. This study will last for 9 days, and the data will help us understand if walking more helps with swelling and bruising after surgery.

  • Participation lasts for 9 days, with step tracking and daily photos.
  • You must have surgery with certain doctors and be aged 18-40.
  • Participants get a free step counter to use during the study.
