This study explores how giving information about the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) through a short video might help reduce anxiety and improve cooperation in patients having heart surgery. Patients are shown a 12-minute video twice before surgery, along with the usual information. The test checks if this extra information makes a difference in anxiety and cooperation compared to those who only get the usual information.
- Participation: Patients must be scheduled for heart surgery for the first time and not have been in the ICU before. They need to understand Thai and agree to join.
- Study Process: Participants are divided into two groups, one gets the video and usual information, the other just the usual information. Anxiety levels are measured before and after the intervention.
- Data Handling: Personal identities are protected, and all data will be deleted two years after the study concludes.
Researchers and trained nurses will guide the process, ensuring participants' safety and privacy. The study does not involve any medication, focusing solely on information delivery and its effects.
