The VASCULAID-RETRO study is working on making smart computer tools, called AI (Artificial Intelligence), to help doctors predict problems with blood vessels. They want to understand how diseases like abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA), which is a swelling in the main blood vessel in the belly, and peripheral arterial disease (PAD), a condition where blood doesn’t flow well to the arms and legs, could get worse. The study will look at data from 5000 people with AAA and 6000 people with PAD. They'll use pictures like ultrasound (US), computed tomography (CTA), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to help the AI learn. The study will include both men and women aged 40-90 who have these conditions. They won't include people with certain types of aneurysms in different areas of the body.
