This study looks at two ways to control pain after a type of stomach surgery called laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG). The two methods being compared are called TAP block and M-TAPA block. Both are types of regional anesthesia, which means they block pain in a specific area. The TAP block involves injecting medicine between certain muscles in your side. M-TAPA is similar but done under the rib area using ultrasound guidance. The study checks which method works better for pain and if one causes less nausea or fewer extra pain medicine needs. It’s a simple study with 60 patients, split into two groups of 30.
- Study Length: Observations occur over 24 hours after surgery.
- Visits Needed: Only during your hospital stay for surgery.
- Eligibility: Ages 18-65 having LSG, without certain health issues.
