This study explores how aerobic cycling training affects patients with leg swelling (lymphedema) related to gynecologic cancer. Lymphedema is when lymph fluid builds up and causes swelling. Two groups will be compared: one receiving standard treatment called Complete Decongestive Treatment (CDT), and the other receiving CDT plus cycling for 3 weeks.
Participants will be randomly assigned to one of these groups. Before and after the treatment, researchers will measure the swelling, check leg functionality, and assess quality of life using special questionnaires. Cycling will be done on a stationary bike for 20 minutes, with intensity based on heart rate reserve (how much your heart can work beyond resting).
- Study duration is 3 weeks.
- You must have finished cancer treatment and have no ongoing cancer risk.
- Not suitable for those with heart issues, infections, or pregnancy.
This study aims to find out if adding cycling improves results and life quality for patients with lymphedema in their legs. Participants must sign a consent form and meet specific health criteria to join.
