Modified Breath Test to Determine Anabolic Sensitivity Across Physical Activity States

Phase N/A

This study is about a new way to measure how our bodies use protein, especially after exercise. Our bodies need protein to build muscles and stay strong. Sometimes, due to aging or lack of activity, our bodies don't use protein well, which can lead to muscle loss. This study uses a special **breath test** to check how well our bodies use protein. The test is safe and doesn't involve needles. The study wants to see if a smaller amount of protein in the test can still show how our bodies use protein in different situations, like resting or exercising.

  • The study lasts only a few days and involves a couple of visits to the lab.
  • Participants should be healthy young adults aged 18-35.
  • No needles: only breath samples are needed.

Participants should be healthy, not have certain diseases, and should not use specific medications. The study is important to help doctors know when someone might start losing muscle so they can help prevent it. 🏋️‍♂️💪
