Pregnant women can have a condition called **anaemia** when their blood's haemoglobin (Hb) level is below 11 g/dL. Haemoglobin is a protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen. **Anaemia** can increase health risks for both mother and baby. This study is about understanding blood loss and anaemia in women with large babies (macrosomia) or twins (gemini). We'll look at past medical records to learn more about managing anaemia before delivery.
It's important to treat anaemia, often caused by low iron levels, to prevent health issues. The study aims to improve how we manage anaemia and use blood transfusions. Pregnant women with a high risk of bleeding might face extra challenges, especially if carrying twins or a large baby.
