Phase N/A
**Study on Symptoms in First-onset Bronchial Asthma in Children and Adolescents** Asthma is a condition where breathing can become difficult due to narrow airways. Common signs include a cough, feeling of tightness in the chest, trouble breathing, and a whistling sound when breathing called wheezing. Sometimes, children may show less usual signs like a long-lasting wet cough, trouble breathing in, or repeated lung infections (pneumonia). This study checks how often these regular and unusual signs appear in kids with asthma and tests how well an asthma symptom checklist (ISAAC) works for them. ISAAC helps identify asthma symptoms. **Key Points:** - **Study Duration:** Not specified, but involves multiple clinic visits. - **Eligibility:** 3-18 years old, first-time visit for breathing problems. - **Exclusions:** Other chronic diseases affecting breathing. The study helps understand asthma better and ensures proper diagnosis in children with common and uncommon symptoms.
