The study explores new treatments for people with depression who have high inflammation and can't feel pleasure, called **anhedonia**. It lasts 8 weeks and uses **L-DOPA**, a medication that helps the brain, or a placebo, which looks like the medicine but doesn't contain the active ingredient. This is a **double-blind** study, meaning neither doctors nor participants know who gets the real treatment. Seventy people aged 25-55 will participate, and the entire process, including tests and scans, will take about 10-12 weeks.

- 🕒 **Length of the Study:** 8 weeks of treatment with a total participation time of 10-12 weeks. - 🔍 **Activities:** Includes lab tests, medical checks, motivation tasks, and MRI scans. - 💊 **Medication:** Participants will receive either L-DOPA or placebo.

Eligibility: Participants must be 25-55 years old, diagnosed with depression, and not currently on antidepressants. Exclusions include autoimmune diseases, certain infections, cancer history, and more. Pregnant individuals or those with specific medical conditions should not participate.
