Recruiting

Both
Phase 4

This study is testing how well a medicine called AXS-05 works compared to another medicine called bupropion in stopping depression from coming back. People who join will first take AXS-05 for 10 weeks. If they feel better, they will then be randomly chosen to keep taking AXS-05 or switch to bupropion for 26 weeks, all without knowing which one they're taking.

  • **Study Length**: Up to 36 weeks total.
  • **Visits Needed**: Multiple visits for monitoring.
  • **Eligibility**: Must have a depression diagnosis and can't have used similar medicines recently.

AXS-05 is an experimental medicine, meaning it is still being studied and is not yet widely available. Bupropion is a medicine sometimes used to treat depression. Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) is a condition where someone feels very sad or hopeless for a long time. Participants should not have used similar medicines or been in studies with AXS-05 recently. The study ensures safety and monitors any changes in health closely. 🌟
