Phase N/A

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a brain disorder that affects memory and thinking. Many people with AD have trouble sleeping, which can make life harder for them and their caregivers. This study wants to see if a supplement called citicoline can help with both sleep and thinking. Citicoline is a dietary supplement that has been safely used before in people with AD.

The study will last for 3 months and include people diagnosed with AD who are 18 or older. Participants will be given either citicoline or a placebo (a pill with no active ingredient) once a day. Researchers will measure sleep quality and cognitive ability using specific tests. There will be two visits: a starting visit and another one at the end of the 3-month period.

  • The study takes place in the Atlanta area and includes 20 people.
  • Participants must have AD and be at least 18 years old.
  • You need internet access and the ability to read English.
