This study looks at helping older adults with memory loss and their caregivers improve their sleep without using medicine. Sleep problems can be stressful and harmful for both people with memory issues and their caregivers. The study uses a method called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBTi), which includes techniques like relaxation and sleep hygiene, to help improve sleep. This 6-week study is done through videoconference sessions, where both the person with memory loss and their caregiver join together to learn these sleep skills. After the sessions, participants will have interviews to share their thoughts about the study.
To join, the person with memory loss needs to have a diagnosis like Alzheimer's or show signs of memory problems, and the caregiver should be living with them and helping with daily activities. The study is not for those with severe memory issues, people under 18, pregnant women, prisoners, or those who don't speak English.
