Feasibility and Effectiveness of Augmented Reality Assistance System for Pancreatic Surgery

Recruiting
18 years and older
Both
Phase N/A

Pancreatic cancer often needs surgery to remove the tumor completely. However, this surgery is tough because the pancreas is close to important blood vessels. To make surgery safer and more successful, doctors are investigating using Augmented Reality Assistance Systems (ARAS). Augmented reality is a technology that adds computer-generated images to the real world. This study will test if using ARAS during surgery can be helpful. Doctors will wear special devices that show 3D images of the pancreas to help them during the operation. This study is important because it could make surgeries more precise.

  • This study is for patients over 18 years old having pancreatic surgery.
  • It does not include patients with tumors that can't be removed.
  • Participants will need to agree to join the study by signing a consent form.
