Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a condition affecting women's hormones, causing irregular periods and other issues. This study uses a tool called Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) to track blood sugar levels in women with PCOS. The aim is to understand how blood sugar patterns in these women differ from others and see if the CGM can help improve their health.
Women aged 18-45 can join the study if they meet certain criteria. They cannot have diabetes or be using certain diabetes medications. Participants will wear a CGM for 10 days and may be asked to wear it for 90 days if selected for further study. They must have access to a smartphone for the CGM.
- The study involves wearing the CGM for either 10 or 90 days.
- Participants must be willing to answer questions about their health and activities.
- No compensation is mentioned, but participants gain insights into their health.
This study is conducted by UCSF and aims to provide insights into how CGM might help manage PCOS.
